Hosts make the restaurant reservation first, and The Reserv confirms it before the plan is published. No plan goes up on a maybe — when you request a seat, the table is already booked.
That confirmation is about the table, not the person. The Reserv does not run background checks or verify identity, so the usual first-date sense still applies.

Payment preference visible
Each plan shows the host's preference — split the bill, host covers, or guest covers — before anyone requests a seat. The Reserv never touches the dinner bill.
Mutual choice
Guests choose the plans they want. Hosts choose who joins them. Nobody lands at a table they did not pick.

Do I need my own reservation to join someone else's plan?
No. The host makes and holds the reservation. As a guest you request the open seat, and if the host accepts, your place at the table is part of their existing booking.
When does chat open?
Chat opens only after the host accepts a request. Every conversation starts with a real plan already in place — a restaurant, a date, and a time — instead of weeks of small talk.
Who pays for dinner?
Each plan shows the host's payment preference — split the bill, host covers, or guest covers — so expectations are clear before anyone requests a seat. The Reserv does not book or sell the meal and does not process the dinner bill; you settle with the restaurant like any other night out.
What safety tools does The Reserv currently provide?
Dates happen at public restaurants, hosts review and choose who joins them, and the app includes in-app reporting, blocking, and account deletion. The Reserv is for adults 18 and older. The Reserv does not run background checks and cannot guarantee that a user is who they claim to be, so it is still smart to tell someone you trust where you are going.
