Pricing: what The Reserv costs
The Reserv is free. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no fee to host or to join. The only money that changes hands is dinner, and that goes to the restaurant — not to us.

How the restaurant bill works
Every plan shows the host's payment preference before anyone requests a seat:
- Splitting it — each person pays for their own share.
- Host treats — the host intends to pay.
- Guest treats — the guest is expected to pay.
You settle at the restaurant like any other dinner. The Reserv has no checkout, doesn't hold money, doesn't take a cut, and doesn't record or enforce who paid. The preference is a stated expectation, not a contract. More on who pays.
Restaurant fees and deposits
The host books the table on OpenTable, and the reservation is in the host's name. Some restaurants attach their own cancellation or no-show terms to a booking. Those terms are between the host and the restaurant; The Reserv doesn't charge or refund them. Where we know a restaurant's policy, the app shows it on the host's plan and sends a reminder before the cancellation deadline. If plans change, the host should cancel on OpenTable in time. How reservations work.
Will The Reserv ever charge?
Not today. If that changes, the change and the price will be on this page before any paid feature exists.
